The Glenlivet Makers have nurtured this exceptional liquid for 40 years. To add richness to the timeless fruity flavor, a unique sherry cask has been used to finish this whisky. In collaboration with our longstanding sherry producers from the Jerez region in Spain, these casks are seasoned with a bespoke blend of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherries. This extraordinary 40-year-old has been finished in these custom casks, enhancing its flavor profile with rich notes of poached plums and charred orange, dark cherries, warming spice, and braised red apples, culminating in a long, sweet finish.

Brand History

In 1824, George Smith established his distillery in the remote and wild location of Glenlivet. Here, he found the perfect conditions to craft the definitive single malt whisky. Through this timeless primeval valley run the icy waters of the River Livet. It’s name, “smooth flowing one” in Gaelic, reflects The Glenlivet’s beautifully rich and elegant flavours.
