After aging first in a lightly toasted, charred barrel, the liquid goes into a second deeply toasted, lightly charred Double Oaked barrel. This actually all began during our tour of the Woodford Reserve grounds with Chris Morris in 2021 ahead of our first private selection pick when we discovered that there were Double Oaked selections available. Years later, we had a chance to sit down with now Master Distiller Emeritis, Chris Morris to explore each of the three batches for a selection.
